Michael Shaffer, DO, is dedicated to total patient health, emphasizing on-going wellness for every member of your family. With extensive experience in primary care, and in teaching other physicians the principles of family practice, Dr. Shaffer is uniquely qualified to provide a full spectrum of care for patients of all ages.
Dr. Shaffer is board certified in Family Practice, with an added qualification certificate in Primary Care Sports Medicine. In addition to family health care, he focuses on acute injuries, injury prevention, conditions related to the female athlete, and general preventative medicine.
As a Doctor of Osteopathy, Dr. Shaffer also actively practices osteopathic manipulative medicine. Dr. Shaffer is a graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and performed his residency in Family Medicine at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX.
In developing his experience in Sports Medicine, Dr. Shaffer has served as NCAA Division I Team Physician for the Pirates of East Carolina University, the Red Raiders of Texas Tech University and most recently with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats. Most recently, Dr. Shaffer was on staff at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in the Division of Sports Medicine and served as a Faculty Physician and the Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship program.
In offering primary care for patients of all ages, Kelly Arey, DO, emphasizes open communication and careful attention to all factors that impact each person's health and wellness.
In addition to her board certification in Family Medicine, Dr. Arey maintains special interests and experience in both dermatology and women's health. She also performs sports physicals, contributing to Lebanon Medical Group's emphasis on sports medicine.
Dr. Arey received her medical degree from Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine, Pikeville, KY, and completed her residency in family medicine at Grandview Medical Center, Dayton. Dr. Arey also holds a Masters Degree in Public Health Epidemiology.
