Patient Satisfaction Survey Results

May 16, 2013 — Since its first online study in November, 2011, Providence Medical Group has continued to conduct Online Patient Satisfaction Surveys during each quarter; the feedback from these surveys are vital in our efforts to continually improve service and maintain the highest standards of quality, accessible, cost-effective care for all Providence patients. The results of the May, 2013 survey—the fifth study following the initial benchmark survey—have been analyzed, and they show continued high levels of approval for Providence practices, not only in overall satisfaction but in all individual measures of performance as well. Compared to the original survey, statistically relevant increases in satisfaction were seen in areas of practice/patient communication, likelihood of recommending a practice to another person, and in reduced wait times during an appointment.

Perhaps the most revealing finding in the recent survey was in the utilization of the Providence Patient Portal, the online resource that gives patients access to their medical information anywhere at any time, and streamlines communication between patient and practice. In November 2011, about sixty percent of patients had utilized the Portal; this has since grown to over seventy-five percent of patients using the Portal to schedule appointments, communicate with providers, review test results, make billing payments and access a library of important healthcare information.

This most recent Online Patient Satisfaction Survey reported the responses of over one thousand patients of all ages, assuring a very high degree of confidence in the results. Providence Medical Group and its many providers are grateful to the patients who took the time and consideration to complete this survey.
